The Motet Announce Four-Night New Year’s Eve Run

first_imgThe beloved Colorado funk act, The Motet, will be ringing in 2018 on the West Coast, with a string of newly announced dates to close out the end of December this year. For their upcoming four-night New Year’s Eve run, the six-piece ensemble will be posted up in Oregon. To kick off the run, on December 28th, the group will hit the Historic Ashland Armory in Ashland, Oregon. The following night, on December 29th, The Motet will move on to the Domino Room in Bend. Tix Now Available to See F. Murray Abraham & Stark Sands in Nathan the Wise

first_img Related Shows Tickets are now on sale to see Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham and Tony nominee Stark Sands in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing’s Nathan the Wise off-Broadway. Directed by Brian Kulick and adapted by Edward Kemp, the production will play a limited engagement March 23 through May 1 at Classic Stage Company. Opening night is set for April 13.Joining Abraham (Amadeus) as Nathan and Sands (Kinky Boots) as Templar in the cast will be George Abud as Al-Hafi, Austin Durant as Saladin, John Christopher Jones as Brother, Shiva Kalaiselvan as Sittah, Caroline Lagerfelt as Daya and Erin Neufer as Rachel.Nathan the Wise is set in Jerusalem, 1192, when Muslims, Christians and Jews live side by side thanks to a fragile truce that could collapse at any moment. As the tension mounts a question arises from the ruling Sultan: “which religion is the one most beloved by God?” Nathan, a pious Jewish merchant, is charged with answering this question to help secure the continued safety of his people.The production will feature set design by Tony Straiges, costumes by Anita Tavich, lighting by Joe Novak and sound by Matt Stine. French scheme tenders $50m emerging market mandate using IPE-Quest

A France-based pension fund is searching for an external asset manager to run a $50m (€37m) global emerging market equity portfolio, according to IPE-Quest.The unnamed pension fund has put out an inquiry through the manager search service, and says the proposed mandate will be for all/large-cap equities within global emerging markets.The investments are to be managed passively, following the MSCI Emerging Markets NR index expressed in euros, according to the search.The successful manager should have assets under management for this type of mandate of at least $500m, and more than $5bn in total assets under management as a firm.last_img read more
