With another strong recruiting class coming to South Bend, Brian Kelly should have more than enough talent to make a title run.Well, the Fighting Irish are also getting an early jump on recruiting for 2020. Although the program isn’t toward the top of the rankings at this very moment, the team is projecting in the right direction.Outside of Alabama and LSU, no other notable program has a double-digit amount of 2020 recruits. The Fighting Irish currently have . five commits for their class, but that includes multiple four-star prospects.Right now, the Notre Dame football recruiting class for 2020 is ranked No. 17 in the country.Finding a worthy successor to Ian Book will eventually be the topic of conversation for Notre Dame, and perhaps one could be on the way.The most intriguing recruit for Notre Dame has to be pro-style quarterback Drew Pyne. He is listed as the No. 7 quarterback, per 247Sports.However, the best player in their class is Michael Mayer, who is the No. 1 tight end for 2020. Instead of rolling with Alabama or Georgia, the four-star recruit gave his commitment to the Fighting Irish.Notre Dame also holds commitments from defensive end Alexander Ehrensberger, tight end Kevin Baurman and defensive tackle Aidan Keanaaina.
