first_imgEverton target Michael Keane could complete a transfer away from Burnley as early as this weekend, according to the player’s agent Jamie Moralee.The former Manchester United defender has impressed for Sean Dyche’s side after their return to the Premier League and has attracted many admiring glances.READ MORE: ‘I’d be astounded if Michael Keane joined Everton ahead of bigger Premier League sides’, says Stuart PearceRonald Koeman’s team have looked to be front runners to sign the centre-half and his agent confirmed playing time was a key consideration when the player was weighing up his options.“Obviously there’s a lot of speculation, a lot of interest, in Michael and rightly so,” Moralee told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.“We are hoping that we can get a deal concluded to a new destination maybe by the weekend and the key to it all, for Michael, is he wants to continue to learn and develop.“Finding a home where they have got aspirations and ambitions to move on as a football club, where he plays, is key in his development.“We feel that we have found the right fit and hopefully things can progress over the weekend and he can be unveiled very shortly.”Once Keane’s move is complete the defender will likely be targeting a place in the England squad for the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia.And Moralee believes if the defender continues to grow, as he has done, then he can become Europe’s best centre-back.“There’s no point him now getting that move and then sitting on the bench and sitting in the stands,” added Moralee.“He needs to continue and I think if he continues in the same vain, in the next two years as he has done, he will be England and Europe’s number one centre-half.”last_img read more
